[Mobilepartners] Virus protection re-sending

Hi Dan-

The Conflicker exploit at this point will not affect Windows Mobile 5 or 6, not to say something similar in the future won't pop up but at this point WM6 safe.

Many of the major players in the Anti-Virus market do have mobilized version of Virusscans available. Here are a few from a quick Google search..

F-Secure > http://campaigns.f-secure.com/mobile-security/index.html
Kaspersky > http://www.kaspersky.com/mobile_downloads
Symantec > http://shop.symantecstore.com/store/symnahho/en_US/DisplayProductDetailsPage/ThemeID.106300/productID.61928100

None of these have been tested by IS&T/MIT nor are they supported at this time. But this does bring up a valid concern that we will look into.

Subject: [Mobilepartners] Virus protection re-sending

It seems that my original request got scrubbed because I did not use plain. Text.

With the recent threat of Conflicker I was curious about virus protection for mobile devices running WM6.
What is available?
Is there a MIT supported / available package?
Is it necessary?

Thanks
