Greetings!

This month, T-Mobile USA is coming to present HotSpot @Home service along
with their device roadmap. We will meet on Friday (10/19) 2pm at N42 Demo
Center.

Disclaimer: Please note that T-Mobile is currently not an MIT preferred
vendor and does not extend discounts to MIT customers. IS&T does not provide
support for T-Mobile's HotSpot service nor BlackBerry devices currently.
This presentation is for your information only.

T-Mobile's HotSpot @Home service utilizes Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) as
well as T-Mobile's cellular network to provide voice and data services. With
a compatible device, you can essentially make unlimited phone calls for a
fixed price if you are using a local Wi-Fi network connection. Potential
benefits include cheaper on-campus calls, cheaper international roaming
charges, and better on-campus voice coverage using MIT's extensive Wi-Fi
coverage throughout campus.

T-Mobile is the first major carrier in the U.S. to provide a commercial
Wi-Fi/cellular hybrid service and hopefully will prod other carriers to
offer similar services in the future.

Looking forward to seeing you this Friday (10/19) 2 pm at N42 Demo Center!

Andrew
