Greetings,

Thank you all for your patience. The SyncML problem for Palm OS devices still exits, but I wanted to give you an update and ask for your help in escalating this issue.

Some of you reported the bug that generates an error message (code 500) when a calendar event has been created on a Palm OS device and trying to sync with TechTime using SyncML (in "normal" mode). So far, I have about six people reporting this problem. IS&T needs to understand the scale of this problem, so I would appreciate it if you could send me an email confirming the problem (if you are using SyncML with Palm OS devices). If you are aware of other users of SyncML, please include them as well. This will help push IS&T to spend more effort in resolving the issue.

There is another problem that was reported by some users (thanks to Jo Flessner-Filzen and Wes Esser). The problem is described as follows:
When performing "update device" sync using SyncML, repeating calendar entries do not get synchronized. Also, some events that had shifted (2/19) do not get synchronized.

One user was reporting that the above problem exists even when doing a wired HotSync.

If you are using a Palm OS device, I would appreciate your feedback on both issues, so that we can communicate them to Oracle for a potential fix.

Andrew
