"First Flight, First Fabric-Aviation's Most Precious Relic"

Deborah Douglas uses a small piece of fabric from the Wright Brothers 
flyer as the starting point for a fascinating lecture on the history 
of flight, and reflects on the meaning of flight today.  This talk is 
part of the Museum's monthly gallery talk series, Object Lessons, and 
was held on
December 17, 2003, the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers first flight.

CIS Starr Forum presents

"Iraq: WHAT NOW?"

A panel discussion moderated by MIT's Stephen Van Evera
Panelists include Juan Cole from the University of Michigan and Ivo 
Daalder from the Brookings Institute.

While the country is involved in a heated and long debate about the 
U.S. role in Iraq, the Center for International Studies hosted this 
lively talk that is long on insight and not short on opinions.
