Two Career Programs for Postdocs!

Dear Postdocs,

Wanted to bring to your attention two exciting programs Career Advising & Professional Development (CAPD) has open to postdoctoral scholars. Many thanks to postdocs who have already circulated this info!

Path of Professorship, is a multi-day workshop preparing MIT graduate students and post-doctoral researchers to enter careers in academia. The workshop is open to individuals who identify as, and or support the unique experiences of, women and other underrepresented gender groups. Its aim is to provide information about academic scientific careers and the application process. Co-sponsored by CAPD, the Office of Graduate Education and the Office of the Vice President for Research.
Event Dates: Friday November 21 - Saturday November 22 (please make sure you can attend both dates)

LMAP (Leadership, Management in Action Program)<https://gatech.zoom.us/meeting/register/nTYRtQ2pRg-XK0LzPAgXew#/registration>:
Deadline to Apply: 11:59pm ET Wednesday October 1st (Register via Georgia Tech Zoom<https://gatech.zoom.us/meeting/register/nTYRtQ2pRg-XK0LzPAgXew#/registration>)

LMAP is open to only postdocs at MIT, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech. This program is well suited for those a year + into your postdoc experience, and 6 sessions are designed to help you reflect on and synthesize your leadership and management style and skills. Discussions aim to help you concretely use leadership and management strategies in your current lab, integrate this into application documents, and use key examples in interview.
Event Dates: 10:30am-12pm noon on Thursdays, October 9, October 16, October 23, October 30, November 5, and November 13
