DEADLINE 10/23: Nominations for The Excellence in Postdoctoral Mentoring Award

Dear MIT Postdocs,



This is a reminder that nominations for The Excellence in Postdoctoral Mentoring Award are due by end of day 10/23! The award is a collaboration between the MIT PDA and the Office of the VPR, creating an opportunity for postdocs to recognize an MIT mentor for their support.

Goal: To honor and acknowledge MIT PIs for excellent postdoctoral scholar mentoring.



Eligibility: All current MIT faculty, principal research scientists, and senior research scientists, who are in good standing at MIT, mentoring current postdoctoral scholars.



Nomination: The primary nomination must be submitted by a current MIT postdoctoral scholar, who may organize supporting statements from additional current and former postdoctoral scholars. Nominations will be collected via a standard online form (found here<https://pda.mit.edu/mentoring-award/>) that the primary nominator should fill out.



Ceremony and Award: The award recipient will be announced jointly by the VPR and the PDA in January 2022. The winner will be awarded an engraved plaque, and a recognition luncheon for the awardee and their research group.
