</strong>The award is a collaboration between the MIT PDA and the Office of the VPR, creating an opportunity for postdocs to recognize an MIT mentor for their support.<br>

<p style="margin:0in; font-family:Tahoma; font-size:10pt"><span style="font-weight:bold">Goal:</span> To honor and acknowledge MIT PIs for excellent postdoctoral scholar mentoring. </p>

<p style="margin:0in; font-family:Tahoma; font-size:10pt"><span style="font-weight:bold">Eligibility:</span> All current MIT faculty, principal research scientists, and senior research scientists, who are in good standing at MIT, mentoring current postdoctoral
scholars.</p>
<p style="margin:0in; font-family:Calibri; font-size:11pt"> </p>
<p style="margin:0in; font-family:Tahoma; font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-weight:bold">Nomination:</span> The primary nomination must be submitted by a current MIT postdoctoral scholar, who may organize supporting statements from additional current and
former postdoctoral scholars.<span style="background:white"> Nominations will be collected via a standard online form (</span><a href="https://pda.mit.edu/mentoring-award/"><span style="background:white">found here</span></a><span style="background:white">) that
the primary nominator should fill out. </span></p>

<p style="margin:0in; font-family:Tahoma; font-size:10pt"><span style="font-weight:bold">Ceremony and Award: </span>The award recipient will be announced jointly by the VPR and the PDA in January 2022. The winner will be awarded an engraved plaque, and a recognition
luncheon for the awardee and their research group. </p>
