Share Experiences Discussing DE&I with your Research Group

Hello postdocs,

In an effort to promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) at all academic levels, the PDA's DE&I Committee has begun discussing the development of a postdoc-specific allyship guide and/or additions to the GSC Allyship Guide<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZOp0XQ7KaLvclHeL9On-x_n5eZZCVQ7BnSuhHYkYfLs/edit> as a resource to help postdocs promote diversity and inclusion in their research groups. To reflect the range of perspectives in the MIT postdoc community, we would like to hold a meeting with two goals:

1) An open discussion of the experiences each of us have had in discussing DE&I-related topics in our research groups, and how these experiences might inform postdoc-specific additions and/or amendments to the allyship guide.

2) Find panelists for an upcoming panel discussion on effective ways to promote allyship in your research group.

We would like to hold a meeting on August 14th, at 2:00PM EDT to discuss the guide and paths forward (including the structure/goal of the panel discussion).  If you would like to share your experience or join the conversation, please RSVP to with the following Google form.
