Get to Know Each Other
This section is designed to break the barriers, learn about each other's work, and get inspired.
Jette Lengefeld is a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of the Breakthrough Prize-winner Angelika Amon, where she studies the role of stem cell size during aging and cancer. Jette was born in Northern Germany and studied Biology at the University of Osnabrück and Münster. She performed her graduate studies at the ETH Zurich (Switzerland).
Check out a video about Jette's graduate work here<http://%20https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sQ4rAomnWY><https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sQ4rAomnWY>

Jette found that small cell size is critical for their function and proposed that enlargement of stem cells contributes to the functional decline observed during damage and aging (Lengefeld et al., submitted; Neurohr et al., 2019, Cell).
Jette is excited to find soon an academic position as group leader expanding her studies on stem cells during health and diseases. Get in touch with her on Twitter <https://twitter.com/jetteleng?lang=en>
