PDA hiking, rugby team and weekly soccer/volleyball/basketball

Dear MIT Postdocs,

Below are the sports event for this week and planned for later.

PDA hiking trip to Mt. Cardigan
We are planning a hiking trip to Mt. Cardigan in New Hampshire when the gorgeous foliage season is approaching the end! It is initially planned on Saturday, November 2, 2019. So we appreciate it if those who have a car are willing to drive! The passengers will compensate the driver for driving, gas and the use of their vehicles. The capacity will depend on how many vehicles we are gonna have. Let me know if you have any questions!

Social Postdoc Indoor Volleyball
Join us for indoor volleyball every week.

Never played before? Don't worry!
All abilities are welcome. If you are a beginner, we encourage you to show up early to learn how to play and improve skills.
Also after the game we usually head to a nearby pub.

Social Postdoc Indoor basketball
We have the full court reserved but usually only use half court for volleyball. If you wanna come and shoot some hoops with your fellow postdocs and friends, make use of the other half court! We currently do not have a basketball ourselves, but you can easily borrow one from the front desk or use your own.

The courts are located in the Zesiger center. Enter through the Vassar street entrance and the attendees at the gate should let you through if you say you are with the PDA and present MIT ID. There are bathrooms in the facility where you can change or come with someone with a membership who can give you access to the locker rooms. Spouses and significant others of postdocs are welcome free of charge. Friends and colleagues may join only if they have an athletics membership (otherwise you may need to pay a 1 time entrance fee that is around $15).
