weekly PDA social sports: soccer(Wed) and volleyball (Fri)

Dear MIT Postdocs,

I am Chuangchuang Sun, a postdoc in Aero Astro and the new chair of the PDA Sports Committee.  The PDA currently organizes two weekly sports opportunities, soccer and volleyball (details below). We hope you can join us! If you would like to play another sport with your fellow postdocs, please contact me at pda-sports at mit.edu<mailto:pda-sports at mit.edu> and consider joining this committee. You can also join the PDA's Sports Facebook Group<https://www.facebook.com/groups/1499342643696472/>, and post to the group with your ideas for informal activities (e.g. find running buddies, or try MIT Sailing<http://sailing.mit.edu/>).  Also, if you would like to play tennis, go to sports watching party (college football/basketball, soccer, etc), hike, etc, please let us know. We would like to have more sports activities together. The PDA is committed to giving postdocs opportunities to be active in athletics during your time here, and we welcome your help in making this happen!

Join us for indoor volleyball every week.

Never played before? Don't worry!
All abilities are welcome. If you are a beginner, we encourage you to show up early to learn how to play and improve skills.
Also after the game we usually head to a nearby pub.

The courts are located in the Zesiger center. Enter through the Vassar street entrance and the attendees at the gate should let you through if you say you are with the PDA and present MIT ID. There are bathrooms in the facility where you can change or come with someone with a membership who can give you access to the locker rooms. Spouses and significant others of postdocs are welcome free of charge. Friends and colleagues may join only if they have an athletics membership (otherwise you may need to pay a 1 time entrance fee that is around $15).
