Abstract Deadline June 2nd! Boston Symposium on Careers and Collaboration in Science June 16-17

Dear fellow postdoc,

Are you looking to gain professional skills and plan ahead for your career
after your postdoc? Curious about research and career options in industry
or working toward an academic research career?

Whether you are just starting or finishing your postdoc or somewhere in
between, the Boston Postdoctoral Association (BPDA) is excited to invite
you to a Symposium on Careers and Collaboration in Science (B-SoCCS) on
June 16th-17th at the Broad Institute. Space is limited!
We encourage all participants to submit abstracts for poster/talk
presentations. For more information and guidelines to submit your abstract
- deadline is June 2nd - please visit: https://www.bsoccs2017.org.

Prizes for best presentations include: two $500 ASBMB travel awards, a
Chromebook, a Samsung tablet, and a scientific site visit to Novartis!
Our program includes, among other activities:

- Talks by Jay Bradner, MD (President, NIBR) and Phil Sharp, PhD (Nobel
laureate,  Professor, MIT)
- Leadership and communication workshops
- Grant writing and scientific aims workshops
- Academic interview and how to start a lab panel
- A special “Drug Discovery Bootcamp” hosted by Novartis scientists
- Panels on technology transfer and entrepreneurship.
- Networking opportunities with industry and academic professionals
