*On Behalf of the German Scholars Organization...*
*Leadership Academy for German-speaking Scientists and Researchers*
You are a young scientist or researcher and are about to take the next step
in your career? You are interested in working in Germany and you speak
German?
The GSO Leadership Academy is a joint project of German Scholars
Organization with Fraunhofer Society, Helmholtz Association of German
Research Centres, Max Planck Society, and Klaus Tschira Foundation.
Associated Partners are the Center for Science Management (ZWM), the
Association of Technical Universities (TU9), and the German Association of
University Professors and Lecturers.
The program is designed for 25 outstanding researchers of all disciplines
who are about to take the next step in their career – as a junior group
leader in science or industry, as assistance or full professor, as founder
of a start-up or as someone taking responsibility in a research-related
organization.
In two intensive five day training phases that blend self-assessment,
interactive group workshops, case studies, videos, and lectures with
individual mentoring and coaching, participants will be able to develop the
skills they need for the next big step in their careers. They will gain a
better understanding of their personal approach to leadership, experience
what it means to model leadership in research-related environments, and
learn how they can further push their personal development. As a group they
will motivate and surprise each other and forge essential professional
bonds with each other and with key players in their field.
Application deadline is June 6, 2017. Find more information and the
application form here

About us:
The German Scholars Organization (GSO) <http://gsonet.org/> was founded in
2003 as a non-profit organization for German academic professionals abroad.
It has headquarters in Germany’s capital city of Berlin and in Berkeley,
California. Our primary focus is to forge a network of links between German
Scholars working abroad, international talents, and the research and job
markets of Germany. By fostering this network we intend to support a „brain
circulation“ of mobile and talented researchers.
As a non-profit organization, we are dependent on financial aid and
contributions from our sponsors and partners. All of our board members work
without compensation from the organization. Our scholars do not pay
membership dues and we offer most of our services for free.
