Dear MIT Postdoctoral Scholars,
We are following up on the email message that Professor Martin Schmidt,
Provost, sent to the MIT community yesterday regarding The Engine
Working Groups. The Vice President for Research has been asked to
identify one postdoctoral representative for each group listed below. If
you are interested in applying, you can find an overview of the Engine
Working Groups effort here
<http://ewg.mit.edu/overview-engine-working-groups-effort>; see also the
information located at the description and working group members tabs.
Working groups are currently in progress and will complete their work in
April 2017.
Working Group 1: Facilities Access
Working Group 4: Visas for Entrepreneurs
Working Group 5: MIT’s Innovation Ecosystem
If you are interested in applying, please do so here
<https://form.jotform.com/70166788055161> by Monday (9 am), January 23.
Submit an application for only one of the three options. Please note
that you must have an MIT appointment as a Postdoctoral Associate or
Postdoctoral Fellow. In your statement of interest, please describe why
you are an appropriate candidate, what you expect to be able to
contribute, and what you hope to gain from the experience. Participation
in these working groups is a great way to contribute back to the MIT
community and make sure that the voices of postdoctoral researchers are
heard at multiple levels within the Institute.
Regards,
Augusto Tentori
President, MIT Postdoctoral Association
and
Dana Bresee Keeth
Director of Postdoctoral Services
