Dear MIT post-docs:
You are cordially invited to the second symposium in the MIT2016 program
celebrating the 100th anniversary of MIT’s move from Boston to Cambridge.
*Symposium:* Beyond 2016: MIT’s Frontiers of the Future
*When: *Tuesday, April 12 (1:30-3:30pm)
*Where:* MIT’s Kresge Auditorium
*Description:*
When the Institute moved from Boston to Cambridge in 1916, it built a
new campus designed to foster collaboration across disparate
disciplines. Today, as the Institute celebrates the centennial of that
historic move, 13 faculty from all 5 schools will give short, exciting
talks on their ground-breaking research—tied together by an unique
virtual tour of campus by foot, drone, and skateboard.
In one action-packed event, you’ll hear from MIT professors working at
the forefront of nature-inspired design, infectious disease
transmission, the future of cities, global economic growth, and more.
You won’t want to miss this incredible intellectual journey across MIT!
*How to Register:*
Admission is FREE for MIT postdocs. For a full list of speakers and to
