Meet potential collaborators for your startup or lab: invitation to present your research to MIT Sloan alumni and student executives

Dear Postdocs,

Please apply to pitch your current research (or startup idea) to MIT
Executive MBA students and alumni that are potential collaborators,
philanthropists, and investors. Selected postdocs will receive prior
training on how to engage with business executives. Please forward this
email to your friends!

*Event Details:*

MIT Sloan and the Consulting Club at MIT team up to provide postdocs an
unparalleled 3 hours of exposure to senior business executives on January 7
th 2016 as part of the MIT Executive MBA Electives Networking Reception. 10
selected postdocs will have the opportunity to pitch their research or
startup ideas to an audience of approximately 150-185 EMBA students and
alumni that are looking for exposure to science as well as possible
collaboration opportunities. Selected postdocs can bring further
lab-members (up to 3) to the event.

Each postdoc will give a 3 minute pitch (strictly timed). The subsequent
time will be spent in a networking session which will allow postdocs and
EMBA’s to engage in discussions about research and to learn about EMBA’s
career paths and opportunities in business. Catered food and beverages will
be served.

*Training event:*

Selected participants are invited to a training event at MIT Sloan in
December. They will present and discuss their pitches with mentors, who are
senior executives and will provide feedback and ideas on how to communicate
research to an audience full of business executives. Finally mentors will
share advice on how to engage during the networking session.
