Because of the blizzard expected tomorrow (Tues. Jan 27), GECD's Women 
in STEM panel will be postponed until the spring, and the CDK employer 
site visit will be rescheduled -stay tuned.

*Converting Your CV to a Resume for Industry*

*Thursday, January 29, 3:00-4:30pm, 3-133*

If you are considering exploring Industry positions, you will need to 
have a resume that effectively positions you for this path.  This 
workshop presented by Bob Dolan will discuss the process of converting 
your 4-6 page CV into a 2 page resume for industry, and creating a 
document that effectively targets the Hiring Manager.  Can your resume 
survive a 15 second scan and still get into the YES pile? Discussions 
will surround the strategies of effective messaging and how to be 
"on-point" with your written communication.  Actual MIT PhD/Postdoc

*Register NOW for the 2015 European Career Fair*

  The 19th European Career Fair will take place on *Saturday, February 
21, 2015*  9am to 4pm on the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of 
Technology (MIT). This event is open to college and university students 
and young professionals interested in working or studying in Europe.

Candidates attending the fair will have the opportunity to:

Submit their resumes online prior to the Fair for employers to review.

Network with over 100 European employers at the fair.

Attend company information sessions and events held February 21 - 23, 2015.

Interview with European employers (if selected) on February 22 or 23, 2015.

Registration: Students and young professionals are strongly encouraged 
to register for the European Career Fair in advance at 
http://ecf.fairsey.com. Once registered, candidates will have access to 
more event details through the fair site and on-going email updates.
