*Life in the Age of the App: Move Beyond Burnout and Create a Career You
Love*
Thursday, November 6, 1:00-2:00, 1-190
You're smart, motivated, and hungry to make an impact on the world. But
at times, the pressure of where you're heading after graduation and how
to get there can feel unrelenting. When given the choice, should you put
in another hour studying for finals, try to land a killer internship,
take a much-needed social break or catch up on sleep? The answer isn't
always cut and dry; the pressure to succeed can weigh heavily, and you
fear making a "wrong" move. *In this workshop you'll learn from
Millennial expert and bestselling author, Jenny Blake, a new approach to
career-building that will allow you to create a customizable,
sustainable, dynamic career that you love -- whether you're still in
school or preparing for life after graduation.* Rather than think of
your education and career linearly, like a ladder, you'll learn how to
embrace life as a smart phone: fully customizable to your skills and
interests. Sponsored by GECD, MIT Work Life Center, and Google. All GECD
events are open to MIT undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and
alumni. Advanced registration requested via CareerBridge:
