Hi postdocs,
Have you ever wanted to know more people outside of your office, or get involved in the postdoc association (PDA) here at MIT? We are looking for volunteers in the IT committee!
Right now the IT committee is really a one-person committee, and I am really looking to share my powers with you guys. No experience required. Don’t be scared away by the “IT” title. We have things from managing social networks, taking pictures at PDA social events, to maintaining the website (pda.mit.edu) and the mailing lists. If you are on FB all the time, we have the FB manager. Wanting to network for potential jobs on LinkedIn? We have the MITPDA LinkedIn account for you to take care of. Not a computer geek? Not a problem. We need people to take photos for our “happy-hour” events to show the world how fun it is to be postdocs at MIT. If you are really into websites, that’s great! I need someone to teach me about html/css (did I mention no experience required?).
Feel free to send me an email and ask about the job details. To know more about us, check out our website and follow us on the social networks (top right icons).
