Postdocs - Connect with Sloan Executive MBA candidates

Dear Postdocs,

The PDA and MIT Sloan are delighted to invite you to exchange knowledge with the current class of executive MBA candidates at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. This will be the fourth time that we have held this event and the past three have been successful for both postdocs and MBAs. Below, is a short description.

As part of their curriculum, the executive MBAs will be learning about the MIT and Cambridge/MA Innovation and Entrepreneurial ecosystem and how it functions. The scientific community is clearly an essential part of this ecosystem and we would like to bring MBAs and Scientists together in two networking events. This will give you the opportunity to make a personal connection with highly placed executives who fly to Cambridge once every 4-6 weeks to complete an intensive 14 month MBA program. They are working in diverse fields such as:
- Pharmaceutical and biotech industry (from Pfizer, Sanofi, Shire, Biogen Idec, etc)
- Semiconductors (Lam Research)
- Energy and power (Shell, Occidental Petrolum, NeuCor, Apex Controls, etc)
- Software and technology (Google, Microsoft, Cisco, Iron Mountain, etc) 
- And many others

Here is the proposed exchange:

1 - Host a MBA student for a lab tour next Friday, the 28th of February starting at 6:00pm.  We will leave it up to you how you want to structure your tour and how long you want it to be. If selected, please inform your advisor of the visit and talk about what you may or may not discuss. Other than that, feel free to talk about your research, technology, your dog, anything really… 

2 - In exchange you will be invited to a Sloan networking event immediately following your tour. More details on the reception TBA.
