MIT has a lower registration fee. Please see the updated message below.
The MIT Postdoc Association is passing along the following announcement
about this science communication workshop, and encourages MIT postdoc
participation.
Note that since MIT is R!A member, the registration fee is $37.50.

To postdocs interested in health and health policy communication strategy,
Research!America and partners are hosting a communications workshop for
early career scientists entitled "Promoting Basic Research in a New Age
of Communications: Challenges and Opportunities" on Wednesday, October
9, 8:30am -- 4pm, at the George Washington University.

The program has an impressive lineup of speakers, including a plenary
session by the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony
Brook, two panel discussions with science and health policy media and
policy experts, a session with Elsevier editors on tips for getting
published in scientific journals, and Capitol Hill meetings.
