about this science communication workshop, and encourages MIT postdoc 
participation.

To postdocs interested in health and health policy communication strategy,

Research!America and partners are hosting a communications workshop for 
early career scientists entitled "Promoting Basic Research in a New Age 
of Communications: Challenges and Opportunities" on Wednesday, October 
9, 8:30am -- 4pm, at the George Washington University.

The program has an impressive lineup of speakers, including a plenary 
session by the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony 
Brook, two panel discussions with science and health policy media and 
policy experts, a session with Elsevier editors on tips for getting 
published in scientific journals, and Capitol Hill meetings.
