Dear MIT Postdocs, we have been asked to post this on behalf of Beacon
Value Partners. (Please contact them with any questions at
info at beaconvp.com). They organize this type of free event on a monthly
basis for graduate students/postdocs interested in science and
entrepreneurship. The details of the event are described below.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beacon Value Partners is pleased to invite you to the next workshop in
our continuing entrepreneur workshop series:

The art of negotiating landscape of early stage company milestones

This workshop will be led by Dr. Steven Nagle, Department of Biological
Engineering at MIT. Dr. Nagle has taken on diverse roles of a teacher,
an entrepreneur, and an engineer/scientist. Having worked in the
industry as well as academia, he has a unique understanding of taking a
product from the research lab to commercialization.
In this interactive workshop, Dr. Nagle will cover:

     Bringing a product/concept towards a strategic milestone,
Identifying the right people to collaborate with, creating the right
road-map, and managing expectations
How the environment (academia vs. within a company vs. starting a
company) affects these things.

It will also be a great opportunity to network with entrepreneurs,
scientists, engineers, students, and professionals.
