Dear Postdocs,

In the past few months, an incredible group of your colleagues has
played an instrumental role in helping MIT in an online educational
collaboration with the Khan Academy. MIT graduate and undergraduate
students are making hands-on, experimental videos to help inspire and
educate K-12 students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
(STEM) fields before they attend college. We are looking for some more
post-docs to mentor teams of MIT students to ensure high quality,
accurate content in their videos. To learn more about the project,
please visit our website: http://k12videos.mit.edu/.

Next week, we will be accepting 10 teams of students to make video
series (due in late May), and would like to assign one postdoc (or two)
to each team. We will require the teams to have a meeting with their
postdoc(s) before they film in the hopes of getting the technical
content right the first time. On Tuesday, March 20th at 12:00 in 1-236,
I'd like to offer you lunch to discuss. Please reply to me
(fearing at mit.edu <mailto:fearing at mit.edu>) by noon on Monday (3/19) if
you are interested in attending.

We are thankful for the engagement of the post doctoral community in
these efforts and look forward to seeing you next week.

Sincerely,
Becky
