Dear fellow postdocs,

Today at the postdoc appreciation luncheon, we officially announced the
formation of a new institute-wide Postdoctoral Association (PDA). We are a
postdoc led organization with the goal of providing support for the 1200
postdoctoral trainees appointed across 25+ departments at MIT. Our mission
includes supporting postdocs in all aspects of their professional research
training and career development, fostering a sense of community and an
environment of peer support, and serving as a liaison between postdocs and
faculty and administrators.

We are delighted to welcome all postdoctoral trainees to the PDA and
encourage you to get involved in our mission. We are currently recruiting
departmental representatives and committee members. Please visit our
website: http://mit.edu/pda for contact information. We look forward to
seeing you at our first social event in October. Stay tuned for more info!

PDA founding president
