Hey guys,

I was contacted by a disabled MIT affiliate (see his two emails
below). He wants to renovate this three decker facility in boston and
was seeking help. I referred him to some of the local Habitat
affiliates in Boston and Lawrence. Didn't really know what else to do
given the magnitude of the project. Just wondered if you guys had any
ideas or suggestions? Please send anything my way.

Thanks!

Josh

Hi Josh,
I have attached the plans. The renovations would be pretty
extensive, I have estimates of $200K. Any advice or suggestions
would appreciated. I would definitely be open to referrals. One idea
would be to involve MIT Public Service Center and other colleague
non-profit groups as a community build with licensed contractors
Habitat Works with who might be interested. We could possibly film a
video and or documentary. Anyway, thanks for touching base.

Sincerely,
Jordan

Hey Josh,
Below is a posting from MIT Public Service Center. It would
provide a great venue for students and professionals to gain
engineering experience combined with service.

Thanks,
Jordan
Engineering, renovation, and materials sought for home for disabled individuals

A disabled MIT affiliate is seeking assistance with rebuilding a home
that is currently unoccupiable and has structural issues. He does not
have the funding for renovation materials and cannot access financing.
He seeks a student group to help him turn the building into housing
for students or people with disabilities. If interested, please
contact Jordan Ross in East Boston at 617 981 2451 or
