Dear Mr. Jing,
This email is in reference to your recent registration for Collegiate Challenge in St Augustine, Florida. It was my responsibility to close registration having already met our quota the week of December 10, 2012. My grandmother died last week and I didn't have the presence of mind to complete all of my tasks before leaving the state for the funeral. Please accept my sincere apologies. We won't be able to host your group for this years event. Today was my first day back at work and I hope there is a second choice for your wonderful contribution to Habitat for Humanity.
