[Habitat Exec] Beaver Dash Information!

*Important Information for The Beaver Dash
*
Thank you for registering for the 1st annual Beaver Dash 5k race on *Sunday,
October 11 at MIT*. Below is important information about your participation
in the race.
*Reminders:*
- The competitive race starts at *9:00 AM*.
- The non-competitive event starts at *9:30AM. (If you registered as
non-competitive please see the information below) *
- Please arrive at least 30 min. before the race starts to check in.
*Information for Registered Non-Competitive Participants:*
"Non-competitive" participants will not be timed. If you want to be timed,
feel free to join the competitive race at 9am. There is no minimum pace!
We did not intend to discourage runners from joining the timed race. If
you want to switch to the competitive race, you do not need to email us.
Simply check-in by 8:30am, and let us know then that you want to be in the
timed race.

Check in will begin at 7:30 am on Sunday morning. *Please try to arrive by
8:30am if you are in the competitive part of the part. *You will receive
your bib number and tshirt at check in.

The starting line is located at the Vassar Street entrance to the Z-center.
You will be directed to the starting line after check in.
*General Information:*
*T-SHIRTS
*T-shirts are guaranteed to those who registered by September 25th. The
remaining t-shirts will be handed out, first come, first serve at check in.
*RACE START*
Runners are encouraged to head to the starting line by 8:50 AM.
*WATER STATIONS
*There will be two water stations on the race course.
*TIMING*
A professional timing company will be timing the competitive runners.
(Non-competitive participants will not be timed).
*BAGGAGE CLAIM*
Baggage claim will be available at the check-in area. Please pick up your
belongings by 11:30 AM
*DONATIONS*
Extra donations will happily be accepted on race day! All proceeds are
going towards the sponsorship of an MIT Habitat home in Kenya.
*AWARDS*
Race winners will be announced after the race. The top female and male
runners will receive prizes, but there will not be a formal awards ceremony.
*ON SITE REGISTRATIONS*
If you have any friends or family who would like to join you at the Race,
they can register on Race day. Race day registration will be held outside
of Johnson, next to check-in, also starting at 7:30 AM.
*PARKING*
Metered parking is free on Sundays.
*FOOD AND GOODIE BAGS*
There will be food provided at the race. Coffee and muffins will be
available at check in. After the race, food will be located under a large
tent at the Kresge BBQ pit area. Also make sure to pick up your Beaver Dash
goodie bag at the Habitat information booth after the race! The info booth
will also be located under the tent.
*SPECTATORS*
If your friends or family are coming to watch the race, please encourage
them to sit on the bleachers in Steinbrenner Stadium (this is where the
finish line is located). We do not want spectators crowding the starting
line.
