Hello IDF’ers!

 

The IDN planning team is excited that you will be participating in the 7th
Annual International Development Fair.  It promises to be a fun day!  Here
is some more information for you about the event:

 

1. The Fair takes place on October 3rd from 11-1 pm in Lobby 13.  You can
set up anytime between 10 – 11 am.  

 

2.  IDN will supply one easel and ½ of a 6-foot table

 

3. There is no electricity in the room so plan your display’s accordingly

 

4. A light snack will be available for you as you are setting up between 10
– 11, as well as lemonade, coffee and water.

 

5. This year’s Fair coincides with President Hockfield's launch for the
"Campaign for Students" so there will be a few hundred alums mulling about.
I have attached some more information for you about this group.  While these
alums are potential donors, but we ask that you don’t come straight out and
pitch your project.  That said, if it comes up, of course you should engage
anyone who wants to talk about what you are doing.

 

6.  Name tags and business cards will be provided for you in your
registration packets.

 

7.  Please have 1-2 people at your table at all times.  That said, we hope
you will take the opportunity to circulate through the Fair and check out
the other groups who are working on international development at MIT.

 

8.  We have also attached the poster announcing IDF.  Please circulate this
announcement to your email lists – we want to get the word out!
