Dear Student Groups,

Please read the following information about upcoming events, activities,
and deadlines. This official contains a significant amount of information;
please read the entire email.

1. First Year Summer Mailing - reminder
----------------------------------------

Please keep the next two deadlines for the summer mailing in mind:
Friday, May 20th: Group descriptions, keywords, optional image and logo
Friday, June 3rd: Group additional data (optional)

If your group did not complete the first form, which was due May 4th, it
is not too late; however, if you request more than 2 MB, you might not be
granted the extra space.

2. Activities Midway
----------------------

The Activities Midway will be on Friday, September 2nd.

*******The deadline for Midway requests is June 30th.*******

To submit a request, please follow these steps:

1) Go to:  http://web.mit.edu/asa/www/asa-db.shtml
2) Follow the "Student Group Officer Access" link
3) In the red strip on the left side of the page, click "ASA Student Group
Officer" and then click "Select Student Group"
4) Click on the name of the group for which you are submitting a request
5) Under "Manage Resource Summary" select the "Submit Request" button for
Type "Midway"
6) Fill out the form
7) In the "Request Notes" section of the form, please answer these questions:
         a. If you need more than 1 table, please explain why.
         b. If you would like a performance time, when, between 4pm and
 7pm, would you like to perform?
8) Click "Save" in order to submit your request.

***Your request is not complete until you SAVE.***

NOTE: All midway requests prior to the sending of this official have been
cleared. Only requests submitted after May 8, 2005 will be considered
valid. Therefore, if you have submitted a Midway request via the database
prior to May 8th, you must resubmit your request by June 30th in order to
be included in the Midway.

Please email asa-midway at mit.edu if you have questions about the Midway.

3. Early Returns
------------------

The early return date for this year is August 31st.

Early returns are granted to only those students who are returning to
campus early to help set up for the Midway and only to those students who
have on-campus housing during the coming academic year. If you have summer
housing on-campus, you do not need an early return.

Students with early returns are required to help with set-up for the
Midway on the morning of Friday, September 2nd.

asa-midway at mit.edu with the subject heading "Early Return Request".***

4. Group Registration in the Fall
-----------------------------------

The ASA will have a table at Registration Day, at which your group is
required to submit a signed hazing form and constitution. Your group can
also drop off these forms at the Student Life Programs Office (5th floor,
W20) on any day during the week of Registration Day (Sept. 5th - Sept. 9th).

***These forms are due by September 9th, 2005.***
