[mit-habitat-exec] FW: Campus Build Details

This was Cindy's response.  Anne and I were thinking we'd just get tarp in
case of rain.and stick it out.  Also, since it is so late, we are thinking
that just e-mailing lists and having the sign-up tomorrow would be enough to
get people to work on Saturday, rather than having an online thing.  Plus,
walk-ins will supplement the volunteers we get via e-mail.  This will just
save lots of confusion and effort on both sides.

 

Any complaints or other ideas?  Lemme know soon!

There are volunteers assigned to you to help you set-up, but not to build.
We asked what was needed and were only told about set-up volunteers. I
assumed that the point was for random people to come help build. We can post
a sign-up for actual building, but it's really late and I can't guarantee
anybody really signing up. If you email me the info you want, I can have the
form posted. The timeslots you would like people to come for would be
helpful. Also, anything else you want about the event.

 

There is no back-up space for you guys. Unfortunately, you can't use Johnson
because AXO is using it that evening for Lip Sync. I had asked Sid a few
days ago about rain plans. I can't really move you guys into Lobdell or La
Sala either because of the potential damage. I would suggest canceling it if
there is rain. We are planning on canceling the bands and moving the BBQ
into the lobby of the Student Center if there is rain on Saturday. Let me
know what you want to do. If you get approval from CAC to do it in LaSala,
we have the space reserved.

Cindy and Meghan,

 

We're in charge of Habitat's Campus Build and are trying to figure out
Saturday's details.  We were wondering about a couple things:

 

1.      Is there a sign-up online for volunteers to set-up, build frames, or
both?  If not, would it be possible to set that up?  Furthermore, can all of
the volunteer information be sent to us at epieper at mit.edu and
asy306 at mit.edu so we are able to keep track of available slots within our
own sign-up sheet.

2.      Has a back-up room been reserved in case of rain?  Preferably
Johnson.
