[Macpartners] Is Apple killing the Mac OS?

Some old timers may remember the DEC company and its flagship VMS op. system. A long time ago, in the early 1990’s, during a monthly meeting of the VAXLUG group on campus a guy stood up and asked a provocative question:
Is DEC killing the VMS system?

People responded with incredulity and reasoned denials, but he turned out to be right.

Now, it appears that Apple is on the same killing path.

Evidence: MacOS has stopped being intuitive; Keychain does not work, and you cannot “repair” it; you cannot sync your calendar, contacts, passwords, etc. outside the “cloud”, and only Allah knows who controls this dark “cloud”. There are too many overlapping System Preferences. Apps like Photo and iTunes are way too complicated.

We can probably all add to this list, but from the point of view of a user, Mac stopped being fun.
