[Macpartners] File missing from DFS Share

I have a user that keeps losing files from the dfs share while working on
the document. He is currently working off a Mac desktop and using El
Capitan. This issue keeps reoccuring when using excel. He receives the
following messages:

Upon receiving the alert it causes excel to freeze, once he exits out the
file and tries to locate it on the dfs share it is no longer available.
Have anyone experience the same thing or have a fix for this issue?
