[Macpartners] For Mac Users: IS&T Announces VMware Fusion 7 Professional

Good Afternoon,

Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce support for VMware Fusion 7 Professional for the Mac. Fusion lets OS X users install and manipulate supported operating systems in a virtualized environment.

The new features of Fusion 7 Professional can be viewed on VMware's website <http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/features.html>.

MIT faculty, staff, and students can download VMware Fusion 7 <http://ist.mit.edu/vmware-fusion/7x/mac> (certificates <http://ist.mit.edu/certificates> required) from IS&T's website free of charge.

The minimum system requirements for Fusion 7 are as follows:
Any 64‐bit capable Intel Mac (Core 2 Duo, Xeon, i3, i5, i7 processors or better)
Minimum 4GB of RAM
750MB free disk space for VMware Fusion and at least 5GB for each virtual machine
Mac OS X 10.8 or later
