[Macpartners] IS&T Announces Support for VMware Fusion 4 for Mac

Good Morning,

IS&T is pleased to announce support for VMware Fusion 4 for Mac.  Fusion lets Mac OS X users install and manipulate supported operating systems in a virtualized environment.

The new features of Fusion 4 can be viewed on VMware's website: http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/migrate.html.

MIT faculty, staff, and students can download a serialized version of Fusion 4 from IS&T's website free of charge: http://ist.mit.edu/services/software/vmware/fusion4x (certificates required).

The minimum system requirements for Fusion 4 are as follows:

* Any 64-­‐bit capable Intel Mac. (Core 2 Duo, Xeon, i3, i5, i7 processors or better)
* Minimum 2GB of RAM (4GB or more recommended)
* 750MB free disk space for VMware Fusion and at least 5GB for each virtual machine
* Mac OS X 10.6.7 or later (OS X Lion recommended)
