Hey Brandy - I've moved this message over to the MacPartners mailing
list. Being so Mac specific question, you might get some more help
here.
I'd first try to get AFP working. (I'm guessing that it's AFP and not
AFS, as AFP is what's build-in OS X.) Make sure you've got a static
IP address assigned to the server. If you first setup the server
using a dynamic address, I'd suggest that you reinstall the server to
make sure that it gets the correct settings. Once that's setup,
you'll have to create user accounts on the server for each person that
needs to login, and grant those users permission to the file share
their trying to access.
At this point, mac users should be able to connect to the server by
going to the finder, selecting "Connect to Server" from the "Go" menu,
and entering the server name. With this setup, users will have to
enter their password as set on the Mac OS X server. For security
reasons, it should not be the same as their MIT kerberos password.
If that doesn't work, and you don't already have user data on the
server, it might be easier to re-install the server, using the
standard configuration. As a general rule of thumb, I'd try to get
one service working at a time before enabling another one.
