[Macpartners] changing default application in Mac OS X 10.4.1?

It's under Get Info. Select a .xls file in the Finder. Then control- 
click (or right click) and choose Get Info.

In the panel, a bit more than 1/2 way down, there's an "Open With"  
section that lets you choose what application to open the file with.  
Choose Excel, then also click the "Change All" button.
