[Macpartners] MacPorts: problems installing SciPy

Hey folks -

I'm trying to get up-and-running with Python and SciPy via MacPorts,  
and I'm encountering an error building the port py-scipy.  I am not  
completely clueless about such things (just mostly :) ), but the  
forums and mailing lists have thus far proved not very helpful.

Do any of you, by any chance, have enough unix/MacPorts know-how to  
be able to help me figure this out?  I'll be happy to send my system  
details and the text of the error messages to any volunteers.
