Last week I sent the below email to the list, and one response I got
was to try filing a bug report with Apple if the behavior persisted.
That led me to look for any info in the Apple forums on this problem
and found out two things, one useful, one not so much.
The not so useful info was that someone said this is a "known issue"
and should be fixed in Leopard. Great. ;-)
The useful info was to rename my main account to match my actual
email address (instead of "MIT IMAP Server", call it gkkhalsa, in
Mail -> Preferences -> Accounts). Did that, moved my signatures to
the newly renamed main account, quit and restarted, and lo and
behold, all "stuck"!
Hopefully sending will still work correctly!
Thanks,
Cheers,
