[Macpartners] SAPgui 7.00 Rev 3 for the Mac Release Announcement

Good morning,

Information Services and Technology is pleased to announce the release
of SAPgui 7.00 Revision 3 for Macintosh users. SAPgui 7.00 is the
first version that supports both PowerPC-based and Intel-based
Macintoshes running Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger."

In addition to supporting Intel-based Macs, SAPgui 7.00 Rev 3 fixes
a number of bugs that have been discovered since SAPgui 6.40 Rev 6.

Who should upgrade
------------------
Users currently using SAPgui 6.40 on PowerPC-based Macintoshes should
upgrade to SAPgui 7.00.

Users of Intel-based Macintoshes accessing SAPgui for Windows via
Citrix should consider upgrading to SAPgui 7.00, unless the user needs
the iXOS viewer (for example, to view images of invoices or billing
documents).

SAPgui 7.00 does not run on Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther"; these users
should continue to use SAPgui 6.30 until they either upgrade to Mac
OS X 10.4 "Tiger" or purchase new hardware. Please note that IS&T
will end support for Mac OS X 10.3 on June 30, 2007.

Both SAPgui 6.40 Rev 6 and SAPgui 7.00 Rev 3 are compatible with SAP
ERP 2005, to which MIT upgraded over the Patriots' Day weekend (14-16
April 2007) <http://web.mit.edu/sapbiz/projcomm.html>.

System Requirments
------------------
SAPgui 7.00 Rev 3 requires a Macintosh with a PowerPC or Intel
processor, running Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger." IS&T recommends that
Macintosh users should be using the most current version of Mac OS X
-- 10.4.9 as of this announcement.
