Either iBook model--"dual USB" or "late 2001"--requires the original
AirPort card; the AirPort Extreme card is NOT compatible. The AirPort
card is no longer sold by Apple; it may be available as a service
part. Check with Hardware Services: http://web.mit.edu/ist/services/
hardware/hwsw.html.

If it's no longer available from Apple, there are several on eBay.
