[Macpartners] iBook Screen doesn't come on after sleep

Shutdown the machine holding the power button for >4 sec. Remove the battery,
wait 5 mins, re-insert battery, re-insert power, and reboot holding down
option-command-p-r together till you hear 4 chimes (reset the PRAM). After
this, unless there is a hardware failure, it should come up fine. It's
impossible to diagnose further without more info.
A black screen may also be a dead backlight on the LCD. Shine a flashlight at
the screen while on and see if the screen can faintly be read, if so, it's the
backlight that's gone.
Then, there is also always local Apple store if you're near one.
