[Macpartners] Command-prompt-only window vs GUI?

You can switch users via a script:

My guess would be that they have some full-screen terminal application 
running in one user account and then hooked a script up to some hotkeys 
to switch users.  In that case you would still have seen the fast user 
switching password screen.
