I am currently using TeXShop on 10.3 and have had no problems with
it. It's freely available at
http://www.uoregon.edu/~koch/texshop/texshop.html. The installation
is mostly straightforward, though it does require several steps.
it's also worth noting that this is a pdflatex-based distribution, so
it produces PDFs by default instead of PostScript and DVI. (Though
the formats can be converted)
You may also wish to look at this site:
http://www.esm.psu.edu/mac-tex/ which has an overview of several TeX
distributions are available for Mac OS X.
