We are looking for a PhD candidate in Cyber security in Supply Chain Management at NTNU.
About the position
The section of the department of industrial economics and technology management at Gjøvik (IØT-G) is looking for a committed, and ambitious person for a three/four-year* PhD position in cyber security in supply chain management.
We are looking for a candidate who will conduct research in order to create a deeper understanding of the challenges associated with cybersecurity, cyber risk in supply chains of organisations that operate critical infrastructure and contribute to a better understanding of cyber resilience in critical infrastructure sectors in Norway.
The key themes of investigation can include:
* integrating cybersecurity criteria in supplier selection decisions
* the anatomy of supply chain cyber risk across people, systems, and processes
* managing supplier relationships to minimize cybersecurity risks across value chains.
* integrating ISO27000 standards into a company's supply chain
* assessing cybersecurity maturity of an enterprise and/or its suppliers
The position is linked to an ongoing SFI (Centre for Research-based Innovation) called NORCICS (Norwegian Centre for Cybersecurity in Critical Sectors).
The goal of SFI NORCICS is make Norway the most secure digitalized country in the world by improving cybersecurity and resilience in the critical sectors by supporting research-based innovation.
The PhD candidate will be based at IØT-G in Gjøvik. IØT-G is a highly collaborative unit which actively participates in major research projects funded by the Research Council of Norway together with other institutes at NTNU, large industrial companies and Innlandet Hospital Trust. The research at IØT-G takes place in a very strong academic environment with several researchers who research, among other topics, the following themes,
* Theme 1: Continuous improvement and innovation in large/complex organisations
* Theme 2: Human-technology interaction in a secure and efficient way
* Theme 3: Managing transition from linear to circular business models.
* Theme 4: Sustainability and digitalization in logistics and supply chain processes.
* Theme 5: Organising and managing in a digital and sustainable world.
* Theme 6: The Norwegian working life model in development of competitive industry.

Selection criteria.
* You must have a professionally relevant background in logistics, supply chain management, information systems, technology studies or organizational studies with special emphasis on digitalization.
* Your education must correspond to a five-year Norwegian degree program, where 120 credits are obtained at master's level.
* You must have a strong academic background from your previous studies and an average grade from the master's degree program, or equivalent education, which is equal to B or better compared with NTNU's grading scale. If you do not have letter grades from previous studies, you must have an equally good academic basis. If you have a weaker grade background, you may be assessed if you can document that you are particularly suitable for a PhD education.
* Master's students can apply, but the master's degree must be obtained and documented by 1 August 2024.
