=====
Dear colleagues,
we are pleased to confirm that the ninth edition of the Colloquium on
European Research in Retailing will take place on
10-12 JULY 2024 IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, USA.
This colloquium will be dedicated to the ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN
THE SERVICE OF CONSUMERS AND RETAIL.
The retail landscape is constantly evolving, driven by digital
transformation, changing consumer behavior, and unforeseen
disruptions, such as COVID-19 or other calamities. Retailers are
increasingly investing in automation, digital technology, digital
community, data analytics, and/or personalization to improve their
customers” experience and optimize their supply chains.
The "Artificial Intelligence in the service of consumers and retail"
theme explores how retailers can adapt, innovate, and thrive in the
face of these challenges, reflecting the need for retailers to become
nimble, adaptable, and customer-centric in an era of constant change.
CERR 2024 under this theme aims to provide a platform for researchers,
scholars, and practitioners to share insights and strategies for
adapting AI tools so as to build successful retail and customer
experience in an increasingly digital and dynamic environment.
“Artificial Intelligence in the service of consumers and retail”
encourages the exploration of different aspects and we welcome
submissions on, but not limited to the following themes and related
tracks:
* DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION: Strategies for leveraging AI,
e-commerce, and omnichannel approaches to improve retail operations
and customer experiences.
* CONSUMER-CENTRICITY: How retailers can deepen their
understanding of consumer behavior and preferences in an increasingly
digital and data-driven world.
* SUPPLY CHAIN AGILITY: Building AI-driven retail supply chains
that can withstand disruptions, from global crises to supply chain
shortages.
* INNOVATION AND ADAPTATION: Fostering a culture of innovation
within retail organizations, from new business models to store formats
and marketing approaches.
* DATA ANALYTICS: The role of data analytics, artificial
intelligence, and machine learning in improving decision-making and
personalization in retail.
* SUSTAINABILITY: Integrating sustainability practices and values
into retail operations and products to meet the growing demand for
environmentally friendly options.
* CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: Strategies for creating exceptional and
memorable customer experiences, both online and in physical stores.
* RETAIL WORKFORCE: Addressing opportunities in workforce
reskilling in an evolving retail landscape.
* ETHICAL RETAILING: Exploring the importance of ethics,
transparency, and corporate social responsibility in retail operations.
* EMERGING RETAIL TRENDS: Examine emerging trends such as virtual
reality shopping, social commerce, and quick commerce.
