The Department of Operation Management and Information System (MOSI) at Kedge Business School, Marseille, France, invites applications for two full-time, professorial appointments in Transportation, Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management to begin in September 2023. Kedge is a leading European Business School in SCM and a world renown school for maritime and port management. Positions are tenured with full package including French Social Security and benefits.
The Operations Management and Information Systems Academic Department (MOSI) at KEDGE Business School brings together professors from disciplines including procurement management, supply chain management, quality management, and information systems management. Professors from the MOSI department provide theoretical and practical teaching designed to provide students with specific knowledge as well as giving them global and cross-disciplinary insight into supply chain management.
Responsibilities
- Teaching and educational development (undergraduate, graduate and post graduate level).
- Publications in academic and professional journals.
- Research Projects with companies or international institutions
- Participation in national and international calls for projects
- Student supervision and coaching
Profile and skills required for tenured track as Assistant or Associate Professor of Maritime Logistics:
- Doctoral degree with a focus on Maritime field (Economics, Business, Geography, Operations Management, Analytics, Law, or related field.)
- Teaching experience related to Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Publication in the areas of Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in port and shipping projects would be a plus.
- Relevant expertise in maritime transport, green ports/shipping, port strategy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- A working knowledge of the French language is appreciated.
Profile and skills required for tenured track as Assistant or Associate Professor of Transportation & Logistics
- Doctoral degree with a focus on Transportation field (Economics, Business, Geography, Operation Management, Analytics, or related field.)
- Teaching experience related to Transportation, Logistics, International Trade, Urban Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management/Analytics.
- Experience on transportation and logistics projects required, consulting experience would be a plus.
- Relevant expertise in transportation (modal or multimodal expertise, passenger logistics, green supply chain); maritime expertise would be a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- A working knowledge of the French language is appreciated.:
