Assistant Teaching Professor in Management (NTT) – Supply Chain Management and Information Technology Management

The Department of Management in the Trulaske College of Business at University of Missouri (MU) invites applicants with excellent teaching credentials or potential in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Information Technology/Systems Management (ITM) for a non-tenure track (NTT), full-time teaching position. The person selected must be available to start teaching undergraduate and/or Master’s level courses in SCM or ITM no later than August 2023. We will consider applicants available for January 2023 start date also.  Overall teaching load will be equivalent to twelve credit hours per semester. This is not a remote-work position; however, some online courses may be scheduled.

This position is expected to include teaching courses in the areas of ITM and SCM (including Project Management) each semester in a large or small section format and may include coordinating Teaching Assistants (TAs) as needed. The successful candidate is expected to assume active service roles related to undergraduate and MBA curriculum development and quality assurance at department and college levels.

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have Masters Degree and work experience of at least five years in the related field or function.

Candidates will be evaluated on:
Highest degree earned from an AACSB- accredited business school. Prior industry and professional knowledge/experience in the area of SCM and ITM; a record of, or demonstrable evidence of excellence in teaching/training; industry experience; a commitment to diversity and inclusion; evidence of collaborative team participation. Relevant industry or professional certifications.

Key skills sought include: ability to engage students in both large and small section formats and in both face-to-face and 100% online (synchronous primarily) formats; effective use of a variety of assessment methods; currency in logistics, manufacturing, or procurement, and information technology/systems domains; effective training of and coordination with TAs; familiarity with learning management systems for grade management and reporting; and collegiality in service roles involving curriculum design, integration, and evaluation. The College and the Department emphasize experiential learning for our students.
