Position Summary
The University of North Texas, Ryan College of Business, Department of Logistics and Operations Management invites applications for a full-time continuing Lecturer position for the Logistics and Supply Chain Management degree program to start in Fall 2022. The degree program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management supports undergraduate majors and complements the Operations and Supply Management program within the Department of Logistics & Operations Management. We seek an individual with substantial background in the Logistics discipline, with the ability and experience to teach undergraduate courses face-to-face and online. Duties will include teaching courses in multiple areas of logistics, supply chain and operations management; curriculum and course development; service to the Department, University, and community; and maintaining accreditation required of UNT. The person hired into this position will potentially teach classes online and at both the Denton and Frisco locations of UNT, based on the needs of the department.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will be qualified for appointment at the rank of Lecturer and possess a minimum of a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis or concentration in logistics or supply chain management or a master's degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
* Terminal degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
* Experience developing and teaching logistics, supply chain management, or operations management classes with a track record of excellent teaching evaluations.
* Experience in handling course development and management activities related to making courses compliant with accessibility requirements.
* Experience handling large (75 or more students) and working with teaching assistants in course management.
* Experience using the Canvas platform and multiple technical platforms and tools such as Zoom, Panopto, Respondus, Packback, Microsoft Teams, Dropbox, GoogleCloud, GroupMe etc.
* Experience with developing and teaching synchronous and asynchronous online courses in logistics or related fields at the college level.
* Significant work experience in logistics or a related business field at a senior executive level, with an appreciation of Operations and/or Supply Chain Management.
* Professional association memberships, awards, and certifications.
* Preference will be given to candidates who can be counted as scholarly-active for accreditation purposes.

The Department of Logistics and Operations Management (LOM) is part of the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas. The department is dedicated to providing students with well-rounded, state-of-the-art education in the modern principles of logistics, operations, and supply chain management.
