logistics program beginning in 1969, WSU’s supply chain program is among
the oldest SCM programs in the United States. The successful applicants
will join in efforts to further develop the SCM program as a leading
program of excellence. In recent years, the school has established the
Jerry & Vickie Moyes Center for Supply Chain Excellence with a $5 million
endowment pledge from WSU alumnus and transportation industry magnate,
Jerry Moyes, and has built a strategic advisory board. Currently, the
demand for our graduates far exceeds our available supply of graduates.
Recruiters include American Express, Amer Sports, Autoliv, Boeing, DoD,
General Motors, Intermountain Healthcare, L3Harris Technologies,
Northrop-Grumman, and Toyota, among many others.

Weber State University occupies a beautiful campus nestled in the foothills
of the Wasatch Mountains in Ogden, Utah, and is 35 miles north of Salt Lake
City. With the university’s location at the top end of a metropolitan area
of 2 million population, one can choose to live in a smaller city or in the
center of a major economic and technology hub. Forbes magazine has recently
rated Utah as #1 Best State for Business and rated Ogden among the 10 Best
Cities for Raising a Family. National Geographic also named Ogden as one of
America’s best adventure towns. The area offers year-round cultural events
and outdoor recreational activities. Major industries in the region include
aerospace, transportation, distribution, manufacturing, information
technology, biomedical, healthcare, and outdoor recreation products and
services.

WSU maintains a small-school atmosphere despite its 29,000 full and
part-time students and prides itself on its quality teaching, its
commitment to meeting the needs of students at every stage of life, and its
ongoing service to the community. WSU is a predominately undergraduate
university, but has several excellent graduate programs housed within the
Goddard School of Business and Economics including the MBA, Master of
Accounting and Master of Taxation programs, along with a Master of MIS
program under proposal. The Goddard School is committed to teaching and
research excellence as evidenced by AACSB accreditation, and its students
regularly achieve mean scores above the 90th percentile nationally on the
ETS Major Field Tests at both undergraduate and MBA levels. For fifteen
years running, the Goddard School has been named an outstanding business
school by The Princeton Review.
